Dialing 9-1-1 and having the ambulance respond to your emergency situation can be scary. When children are involved it can be even scarier. This clinic is designed to teach children about what to expect in the back of an ambulance.
You bring your child and their Teddy Bear (or other favorite stuffed animal) to the South Jefferson Rescue Squad, Inc station on Main Street in Adams (Route 11). Your child and Teddy Bear will be placed in the ambulance. The caring members of the Rescue Squad will perform an examination on Teddy while your child watches. At the end Teddy will have any necessary bandaging applied and sent home with your child.
There will be other activities for your child to do while waiting for their ambulance experience.
